Bees Creek Primary School, NT
"The years 3 and 4 students investigated simple machines including levers, gears, wedges and pulleys.  They used the Makers Empire 3D app to create these simple machines. The year 6 students explored a project  called ‘Get in the Game’ as part of their inquiry into games.  They used Makers Empire Design software to create their own game piece or characters. The third project involved students in designing and 3D printing items for a Makers Market.  These designs included earrings, key rings and small figurines. Future plans are for the students to focus on problem solving around real-world applications.  Teachers felt that the gaming elements of the software were very popular, and students enjoyed earning badges and sharing their designs. Students were encouraged to design, create, make mistakes and test ideas."
