Makers Empire is thrilled to be selected by global education non-profit, HundrED, as one of the top 100 education innovations to watch in 2022.
HundrED is a not-for-profit organisation that seeks and shares inspiring innovations in K12 education. Each year, HundrED’s Global Collection celebrates the top 100 most impactful and scalable educator innovations around the world.
This year, 2,657 innovations were submitted for consideration to the Global Collection 2022. After shortlisting the submitted innovations, 120 global education experts from over 50 countries then reviewed the shortlisted innovations based on HundrED’s criteria of impact and scalability as per the following definitions:
- Impact: Evaluated as a valuable improvement within the innovation’s context. All innovations must have at-least 1-year of being implemented with its intended users.
- Scalability: Either the innovation is actively expanding to other contexts or has a high degree of transferability for others to adopt its practice/technology.
The expert reviewers then submitted 2,204 reviews of the innovations. These were then evaluated by HundrED’s Research Team and the top 100 innovations were selected for the HundrED Global Collection 2022.
Makers Empire’s co-CEO and co-founder, Anthony Chhoy, said, “we are honored to be included in HundrED’s 2022 most impactful and scalable education innovations around the world. When we first launched Makers Empire in 2014, we were inspired to develop children’s creative confidence, innovation and design thinking skills with our fun and easy to use 3D design software. It is humbling that our work could have a positive impact on one child, let alone 2.5 million children in 50 countries. Thank you to the HundrED community for this honor and recognition of our work and impact.”
