Recently, some of the Makers Empire team visited Dubai to work with the Ministry of Education (MOE) United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ibtikar, our local education technology partner.
Together, we are rolling out 3D technology to every single grade seven class in MOE schools – over 230 schools will be teaching students Design Thinking, STEM and 21st-century learning skills with 3D printing and 3D design.
Our team members spent time working with the Ministry of Education (UAE)’s Design & Technology Curriculum team and Ibtikar staff members.

The Makers Empire team also visited primary schools in Dubai and in Abu Dhabi to test Makers Empire in the school computer labs and classrooms and ensure everything would run smoothly from a technical point of view.

The UAE schools started introducing Makers Empire and 3D technology to their teaching staff last week. Classroom teaching will begin next week so we’re looking forward to seeing new designs from UAE students in the Makers Empire 3D app gallery soon.
This rollout is Makers Empire’s first major project in the Middle East. We can’t wait to share updates about the learning achieved by UAE students and teachers over the next few months.
